Humanity Ashore

I came across this blog recently, by a Sri Lankan journalist/photographer named Dushiyanthini. She takes a very personal approach with it, something few people seem to do. Her photos are great, they often include descriptions of the subjects and the lives they live. Her site is a good window into the daily lives of ordinary Sri Lankans, particularly how people in different parts of the country are coping since the Tsunami. Much of it isn't very sunny, but I guess that's reality. Check it out at www.humanityashore.org.

Where'd you come across that site from? I just recently found it too; through a long, circuitous route

In my bookmarks folder, I guess I came across it awhile ago, bookmarked and forgot about it.

Yeah, although the east did get a lot of coverage.

And the excuse that the north is harder to reach because it's mostly LTTE controlled is one they can always fall back on with some credibility too.
